Gerene Keesler, a Tampa native with over 30 years in college admissions and enrollment, founded Admissions Untangled to help neurodivergent students navigate the complex process of college planning. With experience in undergraduate and graduate admissions, career advising, and residence life, she provides comprehensive support, including essay refinement and mock interviews. Diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, epilepsy, and related brain injuries in her thirties, Gerene offers unique insight into the challenges faced by students needing tailored support. She holds a bachelor’s and master’s from Loyola University New Orleans and a college counseling certificate from UC San Diego. Passionate about personalized education and self-advocacy, she helps students find best-fit schools and resources to succeed academically, while enjoying book clubs, traveling, and time with her poodle outside of work.
