Marissa is a multiply-disabled activist and attorney. Marissa is the volunteer founding executive director of the National Disabled Legal Professionals Association and a former leader of the National Disabled Law Students Association. Full time, she serves as the lead Disabilities Community Project Staff Attorney at Tzedek DC, an independent public interest center dedicated to safeguarding the legal rights and financial health of DC residents with low incomes dealing with the often devastating consequences of abusive debt collection practices and other consumer related issues. Marissa is also an adjunct professor at the American University Washington College of Law, where she teaches a seminar on disability rights. Marissa graduated magna cum laude from the American University Washington College of Law in 2019.
